Loyal Dogs Wait For Hours Outside Hospital For Their Homeless Owner To Return

There are numerous stories of dogs’ loyalty, and wonderful photos like these demonstrate just how affectionate they are. When a homeless man in Brazil was rushed to the hospital, the doctors assumed he was completely alone in the world. But no one knew that he had some of the best, most caring, and most devoted friends waiting for him in front of the hospital.

Luiz used to live on the streets of Cianorte City in Paraná, Brazil, for about 20 years. Despite the fact that he did not have a family, he was never alone because his furry pals were constantly at his side, even during his most terrible times. The man had a stroke one night. Fortunately, several bystanders realized he was experiencing major problems and phoned an ambulance. Luiz was brought to the hospital a few minutes later, but his frightened companions never left him alone.

The six dogs Luiz was caring for had all chased the ambulance all the way to the hospital, and when they arrived, they simply sat down in front of the entrance and waited for their owner to recover. The moment was captured on camera and has since gone viral. When hospital workers saw the dogs were not leaving, they contacted volunteers from Amigos de Patas Cianorte, a non-profit animal care organization, to look after them. But none of the dogs wanted to leave, so they stayed and waited for Luiz.

“He lives with his pals and treats them very well, he shares everything with them,” Amigos de Patas Cianorte posted on Facebook. “That night he had a stroke… his paws friends came with him and waited for him in front of the hospital. They keep vigil there.” Only the next morning, Luiz was freed from the hospital, but he exited through a separate entrance, unaware that his devoted friends were waiting for him.

“The dogs were desperate,” Amigos de Patas Cianorte worker Simone Ziliane told Brazilian outlet G1. “When Luiz was discharged and left with his brother through another door on Thursday morning, the dogs remained at the hospital entrance. One of the volunteers from the NGO had to fetch Luiz at his brother’s house and take him to where the dogs were for them to leave the front.” Luiz and his caring buddies have finally been reunited!
