Baby Elephant Embraces Forest Officer After Reunited With Its Mother

Though we term them wild, animals appear to grasp love and compassion far better than we do. Even if we don’t speak the same language, it doesn’t take words to express gratitude, as this charming anecdote demonstrates.

A young elephant thanks the guy who saved its life and then reunited it with its mother by gently caressing him in a beautiful scene. The precious moment was captured on camera, and it is nothing short of precious!

The heartwarming scene occurred earlier this year, after a Forestry Services rescue team in Mangal, Tamil Nadu, India, retrieved a missing baby elephant and eventually reunited the little calf with the worried mother.

The viral moment, which was first uploaded on Twitter by IFS officer Parveen Kaswan, shows the newborn elephant wrapping its trunk around one of the officers’ legs to express gratitude for his efforts.

“Love has no language,” Kaswan said of the endearing encounter. “A baby elephant hugging a forest officer. The team rescued this calf & reunited with mother.” The calf is on its way to be reunited with its mother!
